So quickly after putting up a music post we hear the sad news of the passing of Levon Helm…….this makes me very sad……. I loved him…… that’s it really………… an empty day today.

Life is cruel.
I read Levon Helm’s autobiography in the ’90s and found it riveting. He’s one of my favorites. I said on someone else’s blog that we forget that dying isn’t always the worst thing. He isn’t in pain anymore and we still have the sound of his voice and the sight of him on film. That’s something.
Yes, you are right. I played the video and just felt really sad because I loved his voice and his presence. We’ll always have it due to the magic of technology, I guess.
This saddened me he suffered at the end of his journey.. we are better for hearing his music…
Yes, we are. I shall remember him fondly whenever I play The Band.
