Just back from a short trip to Berlin, of which I will post more later. For now though, this is an unashamed graffiti post. Photographs of graffiti are interesting in themselves but the art is of the graffiti artist. The East Side Gallery is the longest stretch remaining of the wall that once divided the city. In recent years it has become the canvass for international artists to declare their support for the universal freedoms and truths which are the right of all peoples. Here are some detail shots of a small range of what can be found as you walk this stretch of wall. No comment is needed. The images are meant to represent themselves…..

wow 🙂 nice pics.
Last one is so intriguing… Doesn’t it give a wrong impression of a forced admiration?
I’m not sure, I admit I find the last one difficult to interpret.
Where else did you go Al?
Hi Rajiv, I’ll post about my overall impressions of Berlin (purely as a tourist) but we covered off the main sights given that we only had 2 days – Brandenburg Gate/Reichstag/Holocaust Memorial/Checkpoint Charlie/Turkish quarter/Neue Gallery/Jewish quarter in old east Berlin……and not forgetting KaDeWe !
Nice pics Al… We need to see some pics of you too… Tell us more about the trip…
Thank you. See next post. 🙂
Very cool post and pics!
Thanks, Mr.Hook.
